169. Undecided? (for US Election 2000)
What if each vote was like a thought in the mind
of a single individual facing the challenge of making
a decision. What would a conversation between
one's two selves sound like when one is undecided?
I'm leaning more towards the left
The right's inviting too
But what of this vote over here?
Now what on earth are we to do?
Ok, let's start this thing again
Here's one for you and one for me
Let's get this done once and for all
And keep your thoughts where I can see
No compromise, no halfway point
No suspect shades of gray
Each thought to go this way or that
casts one vote into the fray
When pros and cons are tallied
the course I choose will then be clear
My destiny awaits
I step forth bold and have no fear
I'll thank the stars when this is done
to end this hesitation
A confused mind remains at rest
and claims no destination.
Undecided
