151. In Final Preparation

If Success today knocked at your door
would you be ready to let it in?
If the life you want said, “Come let's go!”
would you know where to begin?

If the journey you prayed and hoped for
was yours to take with ease
Would your bags be packed and waiting
or would you say, “Just hold on please?”

Well don't wait for invitations
to write your ticket to the ball
Prepare for good in all its guises
so you'll be ready for the call

Make room for all the visitors
buy the clothes that you will wear
And if you dream of fame and fortune,
then write the words you want to hear

Between hope and preparation
There's a difference by design:
One's the light you'll use to guide you
one's the switch that makes it shine!

Commentary:
It's often been said that it's better to be prepared and not have an opportunity, than to have an opportunity and not be prepared. The act of preparing for your dreams can often be the single step necessary that brings them to reality. So have your ticket waiting!
