136. Interview with an Inspirer
Transcribing words the truth is
that I merely hold the pen
And what I write are often truths
that help my own life mend
Is it because of who you are
you do the things you do?
Or is it through the things you do
you're molded into you?
From choices made it's said
that we too are made in turn
You always teach the best
the thing that you most need to learn!

D: Walt, do you write a new inspirational poem every Friday?
WALT: Yep. Usually Thursday night, but lately they've been coming Friday mornings.
D: (they've been coming)...I take it that means the thoughts right?
WALT: Yes, I sometimes get knocked out of my sleep early Friday morning with an idea that I need to communicate. If I want to create one on demand, I can do that too, but the more effective and poignant ones are the ones that create ME.
D: Interesting. How does that work?
WALT: The Life Rhymes are lessons that I need to learn in my own journey. I find that as I go through a particular challenge in my life, there's a Life Rhyme that guides me towards a new way of thinking and being. They're often cathartic, and instructional in addition to being inspirational. So, in effect, they are creating me. They are my becoming—my path to becoming more and more of who I am. I simply move the pen.
